Scholarships & Giving

The CSU Law Alumni Association would not exist without our generous alumni & friends!

The CSU Law Alumni Association (CSULAA) is a non-profit organization operating solely on the generosity of our alumni members and friends. Without the continued support of our community, the Alumni Association would not exist.  In addition to the financial support of our community, CSULAA consists of a solely volunteer-based board of alumni who are committed to the support, service, and promotion of CSU College of Law.  Designed to maximize collegiate-alumni relationships and enhance the reputation of CSU College of Law, CSULAA strives to offer quality educational and professional programs for its alumni, students, faculty, and staff for years to come.

How You Can Help?

Gifts made to CSULAA play a critical role in the continued excellence and advancement of CSU College of Law.  Your gifts provide necessary monetary assistance to so many CSU|LAW students through our continued commitment to fulfill our Mission and award thousands of dollars in student scholarships each year! We hope you will consider making a donation to the CSU Law Alumni Association. By supporting CSULAA, you are supporting the efforts that encourage our students and alumni to become leaders in their communities and make a difference in cities across the globe.

Scholarship Funds

The CSULAA supports both incoming and current CSU College of Law students by providing thousands of dollars in scholarship awards to deserving students each year.  Three scholarship opportunities currently exist to support the academic dreams of aspiring attorneys through education funding:

  • Incoming 1L Students – $30,000+ is given each year to incoming law students demonstrating strong academic credentials, scholastic achievements and those exemplifying a passion to Learn Law & Live Justice. The scholarships are provided upon admission and recognized at the CSU|LAW Academic Awards Ceremony each year.
  • Current CSU|LAW Student Scholarships – Thousands of dollars are awarded to specifically identified applicants, based upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
    • Participation in undergraduate and law school organizations and activities
    • Participation in community/civic/social activities and organizations
    • Unique experiences or perspectives (careers/experiences)
    • Unique life circumstances which warrant recognition
    • Financial need
  • Live Justice Scholarship – The CSULAA Live Justice Scholarship is designed to aid students who possess a strong commitment to juvenile justice or social justice initiatives, and also demonstrate a financial need. Recipients must demonstrate this commitment through prior or current work in applicable fields and continued commitment to social justice initiatives after graduation, with priority given to those who can demonstrate a direct financial need in order to further their pursuits through social justice-based opportunities during the school year, summer semester and/or upon graduation.  Examples of social justice pursuits of past recipients include, but were not limited to, Legal Aid Society, immigrant legal services programs, the ACLU, Public Defenders offices, international human rights, LGBT rights/programs/initiatives, and legal assistance programs for indigent clients and/or victims of domestic violence.
